Hotel Lindauer Hof in Lindau

We were only there to eat .. Small card with various goodies. Dessert ... ice cream and various cakes ... Well-kept and nicely furnished.

Super Service. Great food. I can only recommend it. Staff more than committed.

Food very good and friendly staff. From the covered glass terrace there is a very nice view of the seaport and promenade.

Totally unfriendly, listless staff! We went to the café for a drink, they didn't even ask if we would like anything else the waiter is just arrogant past us many times without paying any attention and when we wanted to pay there was only the bill to collect, he then disappeared again, so we did after more than 20 minutes simply put the money on the table without a tip and left.

We thought we were doing something good for each other, but somehow the whole thing was quite disappointing. Service is rather unfriendly and annoyed. Strange communication between employees. The food came very quickly, a little too quickly for it to have been fresh. Chicken breasts dry and too long in the warmth, boiled meat has probably been in the lukewarm broth for a long time. Potatoes are definitely a convenience product, and the sauce is freshly made with just a little butter. Conclusion tourist junk and too expensive. There is an additional star only because of the location

Staff unfriendly and stressed, you can tell the tense working atmosphere. My bedding was cracked. Unfortunately, I left my earring in the bathroom. Although I inquired about it three hours later, it was nowhere to be found. Disappointing for a 4 star hotel.

Unfortunately, very disappointing and not guest-oriented. The food brought had hardly anything to do with what was ordered. Seldom been so disappointed. Lentil curry with leaf spinach and falafel was ordered. The result is a bland lentil mash with a little spinach and potato rösti. I asked where the falafel is because that's the only reason I ordered the dish. The service employee apologized and justified this with a card error. Somebody else of us missed the vegetable side dish completely and she had to show the card again so that the mistake was believed. Approaching it wouldn't have been bad. We could have been comforted with a cup of coffee. It's a shame because the location was really nice.

Very unfriendly and arrogant lady at the service. That's not how you treat guests. Not recommendable.

Food is good, higher price segment, the selection is very small. Speaks for very few staff in the kitchen. The test of reordering inserts worked without any problems.

Fast, courteous service, deliciously prepared dishes - lemongrass and coconut soup, tortellini, veal and chicken schnitzel with potato salad and sweet potato fries

Perfect service even with "disabilities" When arriving with acute lumbago, we were lovingly welcomed and looked after. The food and the suite also meet very high demands. The view from the terrace of the suite is great. Music of the jugglers included. - Perfect recovery.

Great hotel right on the Promende with an excellent breakfast buffet. Make sure to reserve a room with a direct view of the lake! Great look. We would love to come back

We were also in the restaurant of the Hotel Lindauer Hof Essen as part of a Lake Constance holiday. The location right on the harbor with a view of the lake is ideal. The tables are nicely set and are far apart. The card was small but good and expensive. Price-performance ratio high. Staff friendly and attentive. The hygiene rules were observed

We made the best choice from a large selection. There is no view of Lake Constance, but the food is all the better for that. Very friendly and courteous service and all in all a very pleasant stay. We would love to come back.

We only visited the restaurant. We had to wait a long time for our fish dish. After 50 minutes we asked the waiter who reacted very unprofessionally. We would have time and nothing more anyway. Sorry not so !!! The food was okay so far. The lady in the service was very nice and tried hard.

Great location, great staff, fabulous breakfast! All in a beautiful town. Our room was facing the harbor, so beautiful views. Comfortable bed, nice sized room for a short stay. Large bathroom. Breakfast was amazing. Fresh fruits, cheeses, breads...couldn't have imagined it better. Would stay again and would recommend.

Nice hotel with a view of the harbor and the lake, also mountain panorama. My room was clean and well-kept and nicely furnished. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom without blame. Reception was friendly, my request for a taxi order was gladly met. Price-performance in the off-season very good. Location in the old town also great. Only breakfast remains in the memory, but this could possibly be due to the fact that only a few guests were there. Gladly again.

Great spot to watch the sunrise. Don't drive a car here, was much more stressful than it's worth! Train would have been the way to go!

Great location !!! Order and cleanliness in order. Staff friendly and helpful. Equipment was very good. Theoretically, everything is fine, but something is missing atmosphere ?? Climate?? For such a great price, I expected a little more ... nevertheless I recommend and from me strong four stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Beautiful and clean place and convenient. Many tourists are visiting day and night. Only European breakfast can serve daily.

Bad food, slow unfriendly stuff

We were there for half an hour and nobody came to take our order. The waiter ignored us.

Had a late lunch, food is average, fries over cooked, baked potatoe under cooked. But, lovely views and friendly staff. Good shelter from either sun or rain outside.

Food not good. Jalapeno Burger did not taste Jalapeno. Fries soft and cold. Service mediocre. Prices high. Spezi non-carbonated. The hot drink took 45 minutes to come.

Whenever I am in Lindau, I come here to eat on their balcony. The view is stunning, the food delicious and our waiter was kind and attentive. Always looking forward to my visit.

Good hotel with nice, big rooms. Large bathroom. Great view of the harbor. Duplex parking garage not at the hotel. Approximately five minutes away. Breakfast area rather small, here you have to wait for a free space. Staff here but super friendly and on the ball.

For the most part the food that we had was OK. Service was good, but the fish that I had did not have any bones removed at all. In every mouthful of fish I had at least 3 bones in my mouth. By the time I got through a quarter of the fish removing bones the rest was then cold. My father had a steak with fried onions. The steak was over cooked and the onions were burned. Prices are also extremely high for what you get. A salad with 1 perch filet and a small portion of risotto is roughly 25.80€. My mother had the same as I did and had 1 bone in her whole filet. I spoke with the restaurant manager and was told sometimes that's just how it is. Sorry. Due to the price, our issues with my food and the response of the manager is my reasoning for giving this restaurant a 3 star rating.

Quite nice

We stayed 4 nights (double room) from 30 March to 3 April 2017 (off-peak season). Overall: 4/5 – apart from minor drawbacks (mentioned below), we greatly enjoyed our stay and would strongly consider Lindauer Hof for future trips. Cleanliness: 4/5 - very clean except for dead insects (harmless but unsightly) at the window sills at the room and bathroom upon check-in. Accessibility: 4.5/5 - 3 minute walk from Lindau Hbf and harbor/ bus stop just in front of the hotel. Comfort: 4.5/5 – Large room with great view of Lindau harbour; large, comfortable, double bed/sofa bed; enormous WC/bathroom with 2 wash basins; good Wifi but you need to constantly login whenever you leave/re-enter the room; elevator serves all floor (but broke-down when we checked-out!) Food:4/5 – Breakfast buffet included; good variety and quality, promptly refilled. Hospitality: 4.5/5 – Very friendly, English-speaking owner/staff before and during our stay, everyone has a ready smile and is helpful and patience. Ambience: 4/5 – Reception area is pretty small and accessible either through restaurant or side-entrance (for those who prefer low-key entry), which doesn’t do justice to such a fine-looking hotel. And we don’t like to walk through the restaurant with our bulky luggage…awkward.

Beautiful location and acceptable food. I liked the fish very much. It was fresh and perfectly coocked. The sauce was to lemony for my taste. Also very good was the pumpkin soup even if a bit cold. The lack of fresh bread at the table disturbed me a bit.
